Bonin Bough

B. Bonin Bough 
Global Director of Digital and Social Media, PepsiCo

Bonin oversees digital strategy and the implementation of social media tools and techniques across the company. Bough has been instrumental in integrating digital media into PepsiCo's overall brand vision and growth strategy, helping to make them one of the most innovative companies in the world as recognized by Fast Company in its 2011 “Most Innovative Companies” issue. He is credited with bringing PepsiCo to SXSW and helping launch the groundbreaking Pepsi Refresh Project, as well as spearheading Gatorade Mission Control, the PepsiCo 10 and the Women’s Inspiration Network (WIN), to name a few of his accomplishments during his time with PepsiCo.

Bough’s achievements have won him numerous awards, including a Webby, Stevie, Golden Pencil, Sabre, Big Apple, Com Arts, and SXSW Viewer's Choice for MrPicassoHead.com. Bough also taught for five years at NYU’s Center for Publishing, leading courses on the principles and applications of online publishing. He is the co-author of the 2010 book Perspectives on Social Media Marketing, and is a member of the board of the Social Media Advisory Council. Bough attended Hartwick College, earning degrees in Physics and Political Science.

Roger Magoulas

Roger Magoulas 
Director of Market Research, O'Reilly Media

Roger Magoulas is the director of market research at O'Reilly Media. Magoulas runs a team that is building an open source analysis infrastructure and provides analysis services, including technology trend analysis, to business decision-makers at O'Reilly and beyond. In previous incarnations, Magoulas designed and implemented data warehouse projects for organizations ranging from the San Francisco Opera to the Alberta Motor Club.

Robert Munro

Rob is the CTO of EpidemicIQ at Global Viral Forecasting and a graduate fellow in computational linguistics at Stanford University. He specializes in applying machine-learning and crowdsourcing to processing large volumes of communications in less-resourced languages. His background includes working for the UN High Commission for Refugees in Liberia, Mission 4636 in Haiti, Energy for Opportunity in Sierra Leone, the Endangered Languages Archive in London, and various Silicon Valley search-engines and start-ups.

W. Bryan Smith

W. Bryan Smith
Senior Scientist, Machine Learning, Quid

Bryan is a multidisciplinary research scientist with extensive expertise in machine learning, data mining, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, image processing and analysis, and software development.

Bryan earned his PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Caltech where he studied the physical mechanisms of information encoding in neural circuits. At Quid, Bryan is applying semi-supervised learning algorithms to develop metrics for ranking public and private entities with respect to the semantic context of client queries.Prior to working at Quid, Bryan built and managed the R&D group at EmSense, a Neuromarketing company in San Francisco.

Jodee Rich

Jodee Rich believes social media is creating a global collective consciousness that is rapidly shifting the power base from big business, religion and government to the global consumer.

Throughout his career, Jodee has stood at the forefront of disruptive change. He started writing code on punch cards in 1972.  By 1979, he was writing software for the Apple II 64k microcomputer and subsequently founded Imagineering to market and distribute computer software and hardware.  Jodee took Imagineering public in 1987 and grew the company to over 1000 employees before its 1990 acquisition by First Pacific.  He established One.Tel, a mobile and long distance network operator, in 1995.

In 2007, Jodee started PeopleBrowsr, a provider of social media data, campaigns and analytics.  The company has developed a a Datamine of 1,000 days of collective intelligence to provide data, campaign management and advanced analytics to Fortune 500 companies and agencies.
